  • What are the math and physics requirements for the course?

    A. Math and Physics is compulsory at 10+2 level with 50% marks in each Math, Physics and Chemistry.


    OR


    International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with at least 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.


    OR


    10+3 Diploma with subject of Mathematics duly recognized by Central / State Governments as equivalent to 10+2 level, with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

  • How challenging or difficult is the B. Arch program?

    The five-year program is a rigorous and challenging professional program to establish a professional career in the field of architecture. Students will have to study a broad curriculum which will include varied subjects such as Design, History of Architecture, Environmental Technology, Structures, Visual Arts & Basic Design, etc.

  • What are the areas of research in the Faculty of Design at Manipal University?

    The main areas of research at Faculty of Design, MUJ are as follows -

    • Architecture and urban design based on sustainability, with the primary emphasis on energy and comfort in buildings
    • Technical and behavioral aspects of thermally-active buildings and infrastructure design

    Faculty strength is of 14 members of which 3 members have PhD qualification.

  • What does the program include?

     The program is five-year degree comprising of a four- and half-year classroom/studio study and six months of professional training.
