Dr Nitu Bhatnagar is appointed as the Registrar of Manipal University Jaipur, with effect from August 01, 2021. She was working at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) as Deputy Registrar (Academics) from October 14, 2019 and Additional Registrar since June 10, 2021.
Dr Nitu Bhatnagar is Professor in the Department of Chemistry, School of Basic Sciences, MUJ. She did her BSc and MSc from Pt. RSS University, Chhattisgarh and PhD from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, SMU, Sikkim. During her PhD, she received the prestigious Women Scientist Fellowship from Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. After successful completion of her PhD, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the department of ICNTAA at SMIT. She joined Manipal University Jaipur on 3rd July 2012. Apart from teaching, she has contributed activly at the departmental level for curriculum framing, lab development, organizing conferences etc, and performed administrative responsibilities at University level as Member, Secrecy & Confidential section of Exam (2013) Associate Faculty coordinator, Cultural Activities (2015-2017), Digital Coordinator, FoS (2015-2018), Master of Ceremony in many of the flagship events, including Convocations. She has the honour of receiving President’s award in 2017 for her excellent & dedicated contribution to MUJ.
She has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience while working with various Institutions, which includes her 13 years of experience with the Manipal group. She has published 5 book chapters and 27 research articles in international journals of repute, including 15 SCI/Scopus publications. She has delivered many lectures as keynote/ Invited speaker. She has presented more than 28 research papers in various conferences in India & Abroad. She has been Invited as Visiting Faculty at CUHK, Hong Kong under Academic Visitors Scheme of CUHK. She has collaborated with many researchers in India and abroad. As member, Royal Society of Chemistry, London, she has organized two RSC-PDP programs for school teachers and one Salters’ camp. Her area of research includes nanocomposites, ayurvedic bhasma, plasma surface modification and adhesive technology. One student has been awarded PhD Degree under her guidance, one has submitted his thesis, & four research scholars are pursuing their PhD degree. She has been a SMILE 4 participant and has a copyright granted on “Academic Audit Framework”.
