Of all the questions we get from parents who consider sending their children to Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), we take pride in answering one the most: What is life at MUJ like?
There are so many aspects to this question, that we sometimes don’t know where to begin! As students enrolling at MUJ, you mustn’t simply expect a degree or a qualification at the end of your course. Apart from a world-class education, you will find yourself thriving in a unique environment under the guidance of experienced academicians. Almost all of our faculty has doctorates from top universities in India and abroad, and now choose to impart knowledge at MUJ and conduct exhaustive research in their respective fields.
When you walk out of MUJ, expect to be equipped not just with knowledge acquired in a classroom but also with creative and technical skills that make you industry-ready. Students graduating from MUJ rarely find themselves at a loss while adjusting to the professional world and in that alone, they have a very important edge over others.
We believe that the MUJ campus is a home for our students. Even outside of the classroom, we offer state-of-the-art facilities and amenities; the entire campus is wi-fi enabled with a 120 PC-equipped central computing facility.
As they say, however, all work and no play makes Jack a dull student. Our campus allows students to embrace their healthy, creative and sporty sides, too. Students can join clubs for several sports such as table tennis, carrom, football, tennis, badminton, squash, cricket, throwball and kabaddi, among others. What better way to unwind and yet stay fit exists other than sports?
For students wanting to indulge their creativity, there are always the music, literature and dramatics clubs, guided by eminent and expert faculty. Those wanting to hone their technical sides can join clubs such as Robotics, IEEE Students’ Chapter and the Green Club. These associations give students a platform to apply everything they learn in the classroom, and yet transcend their scope of study.
MUJ students will never be disappointed with the accommodation facilities. World-renowned architect Hafeez Contractor has beautifully designed the hostels and living quarters. With comfortable and spacious living arrangements, you won’t be lacking for any amenities and facilities including on-campus multi-cuisine restaurants, libraries, bookshops, laundrettes, tuck shops and travel agents. Parents needn’t be concerned about their children’s meals either, thanks to the delicious, fresh meals available for students at the multiple food courts on premises.
We believe in empowering our students with freedom and responsibility. And we also believe that our students shoulder that responsibility very well. As parents, you can track their progress thanks to the Academic Management System, which allows them to see grades and attendance, as well.
If you were to ask us “What is life in MUJ like?” and expect us to answer in one sentence, we’d say “It definitely will be the most memorable time of a student’s life!”
