Post-doctoral Fellow Position

 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in an ambitious and dynamic project at the Engineered Biomedical Materials Research and Innovations Centre (EnBioMatRIC) (http://enbionac.in/) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur.

The position details are given below:

 

Project Overview 3D printing of high-performance biocomposite is an emerging technology with largely untapped, potential. The ability to streamline and cut the cost of traditional composite manufacturing, along with tunable biodegradability will be the key factors driving the growth. The projects will employ carefully selected biopolymers and renewable bioresources to fabricate speciality biocomposite precursors towards developing customized environmentally benign prototypes. The developed products will be evaluated for structure-property correlation and performance against the commercial products.

What we are looking for:

  • The eligible candidates must have completed (or submitted) Ph.D. degree from a reputed institute in Polymer Science/Technology with a strong background in polymer synthesis.
  • The candidate must have obtained post-graduate degree in Polymer Science/Technology and UG degree in Polymer Science/Technology/Chemistry.
  • The applicant should preferably have experience in 3D printing of polymeric biomaterials/biocomposites.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of high-impact research publications, successful project grants, and strong communication skills.

Fellowship

The successful candidate will receive a fellowship: Rs. 50,000 +10% HRA = Rs. 55,000/- per month

Project duration

12 Months.

The position is offered initially for a period of twelve months. The duration may be extended further based on performance and the availability of funding.
