Event Title: INDUSTRIAL IDEA CHALLENGE 2022

Dates: 1st Dec to 15th Dec-2022

Platform: Online

Category: Technical Competition

Brief Description of the Event

With a view to create awareness regarding the fields of Chemical and Civil Engineering and the exciting career opportunities therein, the Departments of Chemical and Civil Engineering wish to organize a Pan-India Industry-driven Online Industrial Idea Challenge. This is the second year of organization, after a good participation from contestant students last year. It is in collaboration with our industry partner Terra Agro Biotech Pvt Ltd, Jaipur (Mr. Abhishek, Owner) who is also funding the prizes to the winners.

School and College students (in separate categories) will be given an industry challenge by our industry partner (“Design of an anaerobic digestor, of 10 tons/day capacity, for treating chicken litter and cow dung mixture to produce biogas and digestate for commercial applications”) and will be invited to submit their mini-proposals to a panel of faculty at MUJ. The focus of the idea challenge, as last year, is on the development of an optimized system for energy and resource recovery with reduction in CO2 emissions. Proposals will be evaluated on their merits, and the winners will be receiving prizes (sponsored by Industry). The winners would be announced in an award event (cum industry lecture).

The initiative of the Departments and the student submissions will provide useful inputs to industry for developing real systems, with subsequent desired R&D efforts at university front as well.

Objectives of the Event

  • Exposure of students towards the domains of Chemical and Civil Engineering.
  • Develop problem-solving skills in the students.
  • Provide useful inputs to industry for developing real systems.
  • Facilitate R&D collaboration efforts between industry and the university.

Beneficiaries of the Event

  • Outside and MUJ students. Attractive prizes to be won.
