About the Speakers:
Dr. Madhu Jain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. She is working in many research areas like, Computer Communications Networks, Performance Prediction of Wireless Systems, Networking, Operations Research, Stochastic Processes, Queueing theory, Inventory Models, Software and hardware Industrial Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling, Biomathematics. More than 60 PhD have been awarded under her guidance. She has published more than 500 research articles in reputed national/international journals. She has edited and authored many books.
Prof. Neeta Shah is a head of the department of Mathematics, Gujrat University, Ahmedabad. Her research interest is in Operations Research and Modelling in real life problems. She has published more than 500 research articles in reputed national and international journals. She has also authored many books. More than 28 PhD have been awarded under her guidance. She has given guest lecture/invited talk in many reputed institutes.
Dr. Hardik Soni is an academician with 18 years’ experience of teaching at Post Graduation and Graduation level. Academic administration experience of 10 years in various capacities. Experience of 5 years as Director of MCA program. GTU endorsed Director & Professor with research publications in reputable journals and books. Co-Author of the book “Operations Research” published by Prentice Hall India. Research areas are inventory control, supply chain management, artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning techniques.
Dr. Kapil Kumar Goyal has obtained his BE in 1999 from NIT Kurukshetra and did MTech from NITTTR Chandigarh, India. He accomplished his doctorate from IIT Roorkee in 2012. Presently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Industrial and Production Engineering at Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. He has 18 years of teaching experience along with 4 Years of public sector and industrial experience in NHPC, ISGEC Yamuna nagar and Jindal Steel Strips, Hisar. He has more than 40 publications to his credit in the renowned International Journals and conferences and his research interests include Industrial Internet of Things, Evolutionary algorithms, Multiple objective optimization, Neural Networks, Manufacturing systems, processes planning and optimization. He is also serving as editor on the board of various international journals and acting as reviewer in various reputed international journals.
Dr. Assif Assad is an assistant professor in the department of computer science and engineering in Islamic University of Science & Technology Awantipora, J & K. His research interests are in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Computing, Genetic Algorithms. He was awarded his PhD from IIT Roorkee in 2017. He has more than 5 funded research projects as a PI or Co-PI.
Dr. Rakhee working as an associated professor in department of mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Her research areas are Applied Probability Theory and Stochastic Processes, Queueing Modelling, Performance Analysis of Computer Communication Networks, Cognitive Radio Networks, Supply Chain Management and Mathematical Biology. She has authored one book and one book chapter.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Meena is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University since January 16, 2020. From July 2018 to January 2020 he worked at Hansraj College, University of Delhi eventually as an Assistant Professor. He was awarded M.Sc. And Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2012 and 2018 respectively from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His research work focuses specifically on the queueing modeling and optimal control strategies for finite population queueing models.
Title of the Talk: Stochastics Modelling, Optimization and Soft-Computing Techniques
We are willing to organize a Five-day online workshop on the theme Stochastics Modelling, Optimization and Soft-Computing Techniques on August 10-14, 2020. Stochastic model is a tool for estimating probability distributions of potential outcomes by allowing for random variation in one or more input over time. The random variable is usually based on fluctuations observed in historical data for a selected period using standard time-series techniques. In the present-day benefit of the society are impacted by fundamental research in the mathematical sciences. Efficient and robust modelling are driven by the design and optimization using soft-computing of theoretical problems and motivated by the need to simulate the ever--increasing complexity of the applied problems of interest to scientists and engineers.
Further, the workshop will deliberate on latest research in the stochastic modelling and soft-computing techniques and will be beneficial for students, researcher scholars and faculty as well.
