Manipal University Jaipur organized the International Virtual Conference on Physical Education and Sports Science (IVCPESS-2021) from 30-31 March 2021. The conference was sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. Total 975 participants from 7 countries around the world participated.
Honourable Prof. Jayshree Acharaya was the Keynote Speaker and Dr. Baljit Singh Sekhon, Joint Secretary, Youth Affairs & Sports, AIU was the Chief Guest of program and Prof. Dr. Sebahattin Devicioglu, Firat University Turkey was the Guest of Honour and inaugurated the conference. Prof. Jagannath Korody, Dean, FoE, Manipal University Jaipur delivered the presidential address and Prof. H.R. Kamath, Registrar, Manipal University Jaipur, addressed the guests and informed about the importance of sports and fitness. He encouraged the young audience to participate more in sports activities and pursue career in the same.

About the conference, Prof. N.D. Mathur, Director, SHSS said, “the aim of the conference is to provide a platform to Academicians, Physical Educationists, Sports Scientists, Nutritionists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Coaches, Yoga Experts, Policy Makers, Research Scholars and Students to share their rich experiences towards the promotion of physical education and sports to create awareness for healthy and physically active life style.”
Dr Rina Poonia, Convener, gave the vote of thanks to all the honourable guests and delegates and Dr. Jasbir Singh briefed about the Conference. One Online Exhibition on Yoga and 10 Sessions (8 Technical Sessions, 2 Panel Discussion Sessions) were conducted in two days conference.
