Dr Datta has done PhD in Management from TSB, MUJ; MA in Tourism Management from MKU-Madurai and is an alumni of Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kolkata. He has worked over 7 years in some of the leading luxurious properties like Hotel Amar Vilas Agra, Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Intercontinental Muscat and Grand Hyatt Muscat before joining NSHM Durgapur as a hospitality educator in 2007.
Since January 2014 he is associated with MUJ as an Associate Professor of SHTM and had been the Head Department of Hotel Management till August 2015.
