ABOUT THE NEWSLETTER
Faculty of Design laid its inception in 2012, with Architecture as its foundation department at Manipal University Jaipur. Design industry is one of the fastest growing industry in 21st century and Faculty of Design intends to promote student’s growth and self-development through workshops, guest lectures study visits, educational tours, internships and exhibitions. ‘Darpan’ is a wall magazine showcasing all the events and activities organized by the departments or conducted in the departments. This bi-yearly wall magazine also involves a plethora of creativity by students and faculty members including scholastic achievements, informative articles and poems, art works and photographs by students, research paper presentations and publications in national/international conferences etc. It boasts of promoting self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, social harmony and appreciation of diversity. With each new edition, Darpan invites students to bring forth their competitive skills and their artistic talents to be acknowledged and showcased in MUJ. With a strong Editorial Team of well experienced Mentors and Students, ‘Darpan’ has paved its way through successful 5 years and is continuing to reach new realms of success.
