A four year Degree Program offers research and development based market oriented demanding career in the field of fashion. Development of a distinctive qualitative individual style in designing with innovation, understanding of market/client, skill development and technical know-how are the keyt points of the program. The highlighting feature is industrial internship opportunities with renowned Designers, Brands, Design & Export Houses as well as being Entrepreneurs.

This program provides exciting and demanding career opportunities as well as facilitating them to be Entrepreneurs. Readymade garment industry is continuously rising at annual growth rate of 18% and there is an acute need of skilled professionals at various levels. The readymade garment sector alone has the potential to employ 15 million persons incrementally till 2022.
B.Des (Fashion Design) aims to prepare professionals to work as:
B.Des Graduates can also pursue M.Des/PG from any other reputed Design institutes.
The Fashion Design graduates who would have already done their Internship during the program which is an integral part of curriculum get an opportunity to work in:
Indian Nationals: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and there is no entrance test.
Foreign / NRI Candidates: As per the AICTE regulations, 5% of the total seats are reserved for foreign / NRI category. Under this category, MUJ admits NRI sponsored students whose parents, blood relatives or parents’ family can sponsor. Sponsors are required to submit a Notarised Affidavit stating their relationship with the candidate. Payment is to be made in US Dollars from the sponsor’s bank account.
