User Experience & Interaction Design (UX-ID)
User experience (UX) design is not just creating products but also the process, which design teams may use to create products that can provide meaningful and relevant experiences to the users of those products. A UX designer is concerned with the entire process of collecting information, acquiring and integrating a product, focus on aspects of branding, design, usability and its function. It is an experience that begins before the device is even in the user’s hands. UX designers focus on creating products that are usable, concentrate on other aspects of the user experience, such as pleasure, efficiency and fun to make the product more interesting.
The program is highly innovative and job oriented having enough working opportunities in India and abroad in the domain area of User Experience, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design etc. The number of design companies are increasing with a growth rate of up to nine percent per annum. The main job of these designers in any profession is to provide good products and services, improve business efficiencies, productivity and increase revenues.
10 + 2 from any stream with minimum 50 percent passing marks and valid UCEED, NATA, JEE, Manipal entrance exam or any equivalent exam score or MUJ Design Aptitude Test. Or candidate who have passed three years diploma in relevant field of interaction design or human computer interaction with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply for lateral entry in 2nd year.
Apart from Design Studios, Ergonomics Lab, CAD lab and UX Research labs are planned.
