BSc Biotechnology programme is an interdisciplinary branch of biological science which provides a fundamental platform across the modern “biotechnological processes” designed according to the current needs of the society. It is streamlined to provide latest knowledge of the various cellular processes and understand the basics behind them along with development of a diverse technologies. It is a broad and lively subject in which new ideas tickles out and encourage students as well faculty members to study the structure, functions, behaviour and problems of living organisms. The main objective of the course is to make students well fitted for different biotechnological processes/ products and enterprises with a modern global outlook in both govt. and the corporate sectors. The knowledge we gain through study biotechnology leads to the production of various goods of human use, helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Candidate may pursue for higher studies and opt national exams like IIT JAM, IISER, NCBS, JNU, DU, IISc, TIFR, IITs for M.Sc. and MSc-PhD integrated programs. Government opportunities: Junior Scientist/Research Assistant/Lab Officer/Lab Instructor. All Govt jobs after graduation. Corporate Opportunities like Pharmaceutical companies/Biotech companies (Biocon, Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Sanofi, Merck, GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), AstraZeneca, Serum Institute of India, Panacea Biotec Limited, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited) etc in the R&D laboratories, Clinical Research Associate, Quality Controls and Marketing.
A student graduating from Faculty of Science is ahead of graduates from other institutions in terms of basic theoretical, practical and overall knowledge.

Every student wants a great college life, one worth remembering and MUJ made sure that we have best of it over here. Like from the dream like campus to the best of faculties, we experienced it all. Getting a chance to volunteer, participate and organize various cultural, technical and sports festivals, has helped me to increase my self-confidence and overall personality enhancement to what I am today. I am eternally thankful to all my teachers to be helpful at every step to be where I am.
I am proud to be a part of alumni network of such a great institute. MUJ gave me courage to move forward with my dreams and because of such supportive teachers and international conversion, it became easy for me to go forward with my dreams of masters and future education.
My journey at Manipal University Jaipur has been incredible and nothing sure of amazing. The thing I liked the most were the people, how helpful and cheerful everyone was, irrespective of the division or whether the matter was concerned to them or not. Everything at MUJ has been thoroughly enjoyable for us including the course curriculum, learning was fun. The professor, I owe a lot to them for making the classes so interactive and always willing to resolve any doubts or issues we had.
