The Department of Biosciences, Manipal University Jaipur was established in 2012 with a vision of excellence in education and biological sciences and imparting high-quality education and research covering all major areas. The department is focused to prepare students for higher studies and equip them with knowledge and empower them with skills to become industry-ready candidates. The main aim is to give them holistic education, encompass training in high-end equipment, and expose them to workshops and conferences. The department routinely involves students as interns in the departmental Start-up and offers them ample opportunities to be part of the innovation, and helps to nurture the dreams of entrepreneurship to become the next-gen leaders in Biosciences. The department also involves students in research activities across the interdisciplinary departments in the University and also focuses to provide them with training in Industry. The students are also a part of the industry-driven research for product formulation/ process implementation. The department’s overall aim is to make students worthy citizens of the country.
Students of the department have received campus placement in Lido learning, BYJU'S, ZenOnco.io, and many more. Students opt for higher studies in reputed Universities in India and abroad. The curriculum is designed to enable them to even think outside of their routine studies and diversity in reputed universities in the fields like forensic sciences, embryology, bioinformatics, and food sciences.
