Welcome to the School of Information Technology (SIT) at Manipal University Jaipur, we are constantly striving to stay ahead of the curve in terms of the latest trends and developments in the field of Data Science and Information Technology. We believe that it is critical for our students to have a strong foundation in the basics of Data Science and Information Technology as well as exposure to cutting-edge tools and techniques that are shaping the future of the industry. That's why we are dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
Some of the emerging trends we are monitoring closely include Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Block-Chain Technology, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Big Data Analytics. These areas are expected to see significant growth and development in the coming years, and we want our students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in these areas.
To help our students gain a deeper understanding of these trends, we have established a research cluster that is focused on exploring and innovating in these areas. This cluster is made up of dedicated faculty members and students who are working together to develop new solutions and ideas that will help shape the future of Data and Information Science.
In addition to our research cluster, we are also actively partnering with leading technology companies to offer our students more placement opportunities. These placements give our students the chance to gain hands-on experience and work alongside experienced professionals in the industry. We believe that our focus on the latest and future trends, combined with our research cluster and placement opportunities, will help our students stay ahead of the curve and prepare them for success in the fast-paced world of technology.

All programs encourage self-directed learning, beyond the classroom. The Data Science Engineering program is only program with student mobility option to study one semester at MIT Manipal. The school has highly qualified faculty members adapting/enabling them to the technology change in the industries. Besides teaching, the faculty members are also active in conducting workshops, seminars, hackathons, conferences, and engaging students to work on society driven problems resulting in patented product development.
With traditional self-discipline, hard effort, all-round personality development, and a creative approach to problem solving, the School of Information Technology is focused on equipping students to address the ever-increasing technological and societal problems. As a graduate of the school, the student will be immersed in an environment that encourages inquiry, research skills, discovery, and evaluation, all of which contribute to your life-long learning. Several key topic laboratories, helped by industry standard commercial hardware and software platforms like as Nvidia, Param Shavak Supercomputer, Oracle, EMC2, Microsoft Office365 cloud, .Net, Azure, Altair, and others, support the school's teaching and research efforts. The school also promote and nurture the spirit of innovation and enterprise in our students through international student exchange for a semester with the partnered university and the industry partners to teach credit-based electives. The learning experience here not just how to do but also why, and more importantly, how to be, in the ever-changing technology driven world.
