The growth of digital communication and mobile telephone, broadband, wireless internet, and satellite TV has led to the growth of career opportunities in the field of Communication Engineering.
This program covers the core concepts of electronics communication engineering, students study Antenna Theory, Information Theory, Analog Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning (AI&ML), RDBMS, Data structures, Object-oriented programming (OOPS), Optical Communication, Digital and Power Electronics, Circuits and Circuit Systems, Electromagnetic theory, VLSI, Control Systems and Computer Architecture, among others.
The Department of Electronics Communication Engineering trains students for the telecommunication industry, with equal emphasis on research and practice.
This program also allows lateral entry.

We have completely revised our curriculum to adopt and align our program with the foundational tenets of the new National Education Policy 2020 developed by the Government of India. With 160 semester credits over eight semesters, we offer our students a wide variety of technology, basic sciences, and humanities courses. With ample hands-on laboratory and project experience, coupled with focus areas in the latest computational fields, we train our student to not only become well-qualified engineering, but also high-achieving Global Leaders.
Foundational Courses in the First Year such as: Basic Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural Engineering, Biology for Engineers, Engineering Chemistry and Physics, Calculus and Matrices, Numerical Methods, Environmental Studies and Universal Human Values.
Departmental and Flexible Core Courses bring the latest trends in each discipline. Additionally, we permit our engineering students to take program electives across all engineering disciplines and achieve focus area in the latest technologies such as Cyber Security, Artificial Engineering, Data Analytics, Entrepreneurship, and many more.
In our Industry-Expert led courses, we partner with our industry veterans and develop the courses reflecting the latest industry trends.
With our University Electives, our students can develop their non-technology interests with courses from our other faculty such as Design, Arts, Science, Management and Law.
Opportunities for our students to do individual, mentored research projects, internships and semester long projects, results in an overall well-rounded and skilled engineer sought by the leading companies.
This lab provides an overview of the basic Communication based experiments where students would learn how transmitter and receiver system works. The student would have an opportunity to make projects sample as well
This lab provides the basic exposure to sequential and combinations circuits-based experiments and 8086 microprocessor-based programming using kit based experiments.
This laboratory aims to familiarize the student with working of electronic devices and designing of basic electronic circuits. The students analyze the circuit outputs and learns to record data.
This Lab provides competency areas in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems including IC designing concepts & Embedded system designing concepts to analyze and design complex systems containing hardware and software components.
The Simulation lab emphasizes mainly on simulation of electrical systems such as Neural networks, Control systems, MATLAB software , ORCAD simulation etc.
The Semiconductor Device Fabrication Lab is engaged in the basic research and technology development of silicon and organic based materials and devices.

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or A Level or IB or American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry or Computer Science or Biotechnology or Biology or Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject for admission to B Tech, with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics and the optional subject, put together.
