Civil Engineering department of Manipal University Jaipur was established in 2011. It provides outstanding higher education in structural, geotechnical, transportation, construction engineering and management, environmental and water resource via state-of-the-art infrastructure and devoted faculties. By contributing to exceptional academics, a rich alumni legacy, and fulfilling the fundamental requirements of our society through cutting-edge research activities and people connect, the department has achieved a level of excellence. The department of Civil Engineering provides a four-year full-time B.Tech. - Civil Engineering curriculum with industry internships, experiential learning, field visits and project work that is spaced out over eight semesters.
Civil engineering students can also select focus area from other departments like Smart cities, Web technology, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning etc.
The civil engineering discipline is the basis of national growth and therefore, it will always remain in demand for development of infrastructure i.e., construction of buildings, skyscrapers, roads, highways, dams, bridges, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, etc. Among all engineering disciplines, civil engineering has the largest number of employments in government sector covering Municipal Corporations, Jal Boards, Development Authority, Metro Rail, National Highway Authority of India, Public Works Departments, Irrigation Departments, Public Health Departments, etc. Similarly, there are ample opportunities available in public and private sector such as Larsen & Tubro (L&T), Tata Projects Limited, Gammon India, Gammon Infrastructure Projects Limited, Omaxe, Supertech, Shapoorji & Pallonji Group, Reliance Industries, Jaypee group, Nagarjuna Constructions, Ultratech, Punj Lloyd etc. Further, students can opt for higher studies in the field of civil engineering.

The candidate must have passed 10+2/A Level/IB/American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology/Statistics or Engineering Drawing as optional subject for admission to B Tech, with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and the optional subject, put together.
