Dr. Amit Saraswat received his Ph.D. (Electrical Power Systems) in 2013, M.Tech. (Engineering Systems) in 2006 and B.Sc.Engg. (Electrical Engineering) in 2003 from Faculty of Engineering, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Dayalbagh, Agra, India. He has a rich and diversified experience of more than 17 Years in academics, research, and administration as well. He has been associated with Manipal University Jaipur since July 2014. He has a vital role in setting up significant research facilities in power system laboratory of Electrical Engineering department, Manipal University Jaipur.

He is an active researcher in the domain of Reactive Power & Congestion Management, Competitive Electricity Markets, Grid Integration Studies for Renewable Energy Systems, and Multi-objective Evolutionary Methods. He has authored 15 high impact quality research articles in various peer-reviewed (SCI indexed/Scopus) International Journals, 12 chapters in book series, and more than 30 research papers in peer-reviewed International/National conference proceedings. He has already supervised 01 Ph.D. thesis and 05 M.Tech. dissertations, and currently supervising 05 Ph.D. thesis. He has delivered several invited talks and expert lectures at national and international platforms and chaired/co-chaired various technical sessions in many conferences of high repute. He is a regular reviewer of research articles for many high impact journals such as Applied Energy (Elsevier), Energy (Elsevier), Electric Power System Research (Elsevier), International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems (Elsevier), International Journal of Power and Energy Conversion (Inderscience), etc. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (USA) and IEEE Power & Energy Society, and a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (India).
