Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals for the position of Research Associate in DST, GoI funded research project DST/TMD/EWO/WTI/DM/2021/20 with the following details:

Qualification(s)

PhD in Biosciences/Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering and other related fields OR M.E./M.Tech in Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering with three years of R&D experience as on the last date of application with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal

Desirable

Qualification(s)

Motivated and self-driven records, Good academic record throughout, Prior work experience in the area of wastewater/water treatment, microbial fuel cells, constructed wetlands, bioreactors etc. Hands-on training/experience working with advanced Instrumentation such as GCMS/HPLC/Spectrophotometry etc. are desirable qualifications but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct experimental studies related to the project and related field work.
  • Analyze the obtained results and prepare report and presentation. Work towards publication of the results in reputed journals.
  • Candidate is expected to work closely with the experimental team in Manipal University Jaipur and partner Institutions which includes University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and Kashi Institute of Technology, Varanasi (UP).
  • Any other task assigned by PI / CoPI of the project as required.
Fellowship As per DST GoI norms, with emoluments being Rs 47,000 + HRA p.m
Duration of Fellowship Initially for one year and may be extended up to two more years subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate assessed every year.

  • The nature of the post is purely temporary (on contract basis).
