ABOUT THE CLUB
Aperture is the Digital Arts Society of Manipal University Jaipur. Aperture is the largest and most active digital arts society in a university across India. It was started at Manipal University Jaipur by a small group of passionate students in 2012 and has now grown on to become a community of 2000+
OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
Aperture collaborates in most campus events and fests providing coverages, shoots, aftermovies, short films, designs under the domains of Graphic Design, UI/UX, 3D Design, Photography, Videography, Photo & Video Editing. We work with all clubs, departments DSW, hostel facilities to help them with shoots and design work. Aperture organises an array of events ranging from international photowalks on the beaches of Bali to adventurous photowalks standing on snow-capped mountains in Spiti to the surreal Pushkar Camel Fair. We keep our members engaged with riveting weekly classes on videography, photography, designing, and yearly workshops by the likes of Prateek Talreja and Eashen Mehta.
Whether it be flying drones, handling gimbals, making movies for Youtube, or organising yearly photography exhibitions, We do it all. We also participate outhouse for more exposure and experience. Our most recent achievement would be bagging 1st Positions in IIT'D Rendezvous where we bagged first positions in every category we participated in (film making and UI UX). We look forward to new faces and cannot wait to welcome more members and grow together as one unit, as one community of digital artists.
VISION OF THE CLUB
Aperture has always been more than a club for its members, it is a family of enthusiastic college students whose passions intersect. We aim to polish the skills of each and every member and to provide them with maximum exposure in the field of digital arts. We focus on the hollistic development of everyone's skill set- ranging from freelance opportunities to a beginner level groundbase. At Aperture you will learn everything: graphic designing, 3D Modelling, UI UX, clicking photos, making videos, and covering college to outhouse events. We begin from the fundamentals such as handling a mobile camera and make our way upto advanced concepts like that of handling industrial level equipment and softwares. At Aperture, you won't just learn photography or videography or designing, you'll learn public relations, you'll learn how to manage a team and work efficiently, developing interpersonal communication skills as well. You come here to learn digital arts and you leave with much more than just that.
