YES!+ STUDENT CHAPTER
OVERVIEW OF THE CLUB
Neither at home nor at school are students taught how to deal with their mind and stress in healthy ways. Research suggests that proactive approaches to stress-reduction, enhanced social connection, and service-based engagement with the community can significantly enhance health, happiness and quality of life. In such an environment, it is highly unlikely that students suffer from addiction, which is one of the major concerns even in most premier institutions of the nation. Lack of energy is now one of the major factors which hampers productivity. Educational institutions have the primary responsibility to not only inspire their students to excel academically but also should inculcate a sense of belongingness towards the society. Keeping this in mind we undertake the following activities:-
• We conduct the world renowned Youth Empowerment and Skills Workshop for the students in our college, which is a 4 day workshop.
• Every year we have a fun and educational excursion of the members of the club.
• We also conduct meditation programs and other advance level programs for the students who have undergone the YES!+ Workshop.
• We have also conducted an enterprise level program for the faculties of the college, and we are planning to conduct more in the future.
• We have sessions on ancient Indic wisdom, so that the students may benifit from the timeless knowledge which our culture has given us.
• We have short 30 mins session everyday, and follow ups for everyone on a timely basis.
• In the future we also plan to run service projects in the nearby villages for the upliftment of the society.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB
Happy campuses are known by the expanse of harmony and sense of belongingness amongst the students, teachers and the administration. In this fast-paced competitive environment, there is a strong need for the institutes to develop a holistic approach. So we aim:-
•To increase the happiness quotient, EQ & SQ of the students in our college, and gearing them up to handle their own minds, develop their interpersonal skills and soft skills along with instilling human values.
•To charge them with a fresh breath of vigor, enthusiasm, excellence and responsibility, and enable them to absorb the freshness, the repose and all the positivity around, and help them to discharge stress, inhibitions, bad habits, and barriers.
VISION OF THE CLUB
To foster human values and skills in order to develop independent thinkers, with the power to handle one's mind, coupled with social-consciousness to lead and precipitate inevitable changes, with summative call for Learn – Lead – Serve.
