Establishment of the very 1st Standards Club of Rajasthan State at Manipal University Jaipur by Bureau of Indian Standards on World Quality Day, November 11, 2021.

The chief guest of the event was Smt. Kanika Kalia, Scientist E and Head BIS. The event started with floral welcome and felicitation of the guest followed by the moderator and President-Standards Club:  Madhubala Dhankar, then the address of Faculty Mentor-Standards Club: Dr. Devershi Pallavi Bhatt who shared the concept of opening the Standards Club in MUJ, then President, MUJ: Dr. G.K Prabhu shared his valuable experiences and given the very relevant examples of standards we come across in our daily lives without even knowing them and motivated the participants with the invaluable knowledge. Then the Chief Guest: Smt. Kanika Kalia, Head, BIS Jaipur have highlighted the importance of the Standards and Quality for the students and shared a wonderful presentation for the better understanding of BIS standards and its process. The vote of thanks was extended by Secretary-Standards Club Devanshi Ledwani. There was a surprise skit on Standards by Cinefilia Club-MUJ, the event was covered by Aperture club-MUJ.

The Standards Club’s idea is initiated by Bureau of Indian Standards, which will carry out a variety of programmes involving students, providing them opportunities for creativity on the themes of quality and standardization. BIS would provide financial support for activities. Standards Clubs in educational institutions are to help improving the learning experience of students and provide opportunities to better their professional and personal growth.
